The museum’s historic home & fun-for-all environment provide an exceptional atmosphere for any event.

Plan your next business meeting, elegant evening reception, sleepover, or even outdoor movie at Amazement Square!

Rent the entire museum or just a room! Stay for a few hours or all night! We can accommodate group functions of up to 400 guests and have friendly, professional staff to assist with all your needs. Make your next get-together a memorable and hassle-free event by considering Amazement Square for corporate or social events such as wedding receptions, family reunions, fundraisers, retreats, meetings, seminars, luncheons, baby showers, holiday celebrations, and slumber parties!

Rentals include free parking in the museum’s parking lot. Amazement Square is fully wheelchair accessible.

All rentals help Amazement Square’s efforts to provide children and families with hands-on, educational programs and exhibits.

Genworth Education Center

Looking for a large venue that allows you to create a one-of-a-kind event? Rent Amazement Square’s Education Center! This venue is ideal for groups wishing to host a wedding reception, reunion, retreat, concert, or party. Comfortably hold a formal, sit-down dinner with a stage, dance area and bar, or utilize the great open space for a concert or dance.

The Genworth Education Center is extremely flexible to fit the needs of your event. Design your layout, be creative with decorations, and hire the caterer, band, or DJ of your choice.

Pricing: $500.00 per hour / Minimum of 2 hours
All Day/Multi Day Packages available starting at $2,600

Use of Pullman/WonderLab/Hive for duration of event: $300 per hour

Room Rentals

Take your next luncheon, meeting or seminar out of the office! Host your next event Amazement Square. Whether it is a presentation, workshop, retreat or meeting, the museum offers great spaces with amenities to fit your needs.

Pricing: During operating hours: $100.00 per hour / Minimum of 2 hours
After operating hours: $150.00 per hour / Minimum of 2 hours

After-Hours Museum Rental

Enjoy a unique and playful setting for your next event! Rent the museum to enjoy private access to the fun, interactive exhibits while hosting a one-of-a-kind wedding reception, reunion, retreat, or party. The four floors of the museum can accommodate up to 400 people as well as any caterer, band or DJ.

Pricing: $600 per hour / Minimum 2 hours

Buggy Business

Business professionals have the opportunity to explore Amazement Square on a whole new level with team building workshops! These workshops are specifically designed to integrate the museum’s interactive exhibits into a meaningful and fun team building experience.

Workshops last for two hours and are held after normal operating hours. The cost is $25 per person, with a minimum of 10 attendees, and includes refreshments at the conclusion of your workshop.

Don’t let the name fool you, teambuilding workshops are great for student organizations, church retreats or any group of young-at-heart adults!

 
 

Rental Guidelines

+ Reservations and Billing Policy

Facility rentals are first come, first served. We recommend you make your reservation at least 4 weeks in advance. A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of reservation. All rentals require a signed Facility Rental Contract. The remainder of the rental fee is due upon departure of the facility.

+ Ticket Sales

Amazement Square supports the community! Any ticketed event is expected to donate a portion of the proceeds to charity the charity of your choice.

+ Alcohol

Alcoholic beverages are permitted with an ABC license and approval from the museum. All beverages must be contained inside of the facility. Be sure to check out our bar options for the Genworth Education space!

+ Smoking

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside Amazement Square. There is a designated smoking area outside near the entrance to the museum.

+ Additional Rental Amenities

We can rent everything from chairs and tables to a full light-up bar! The quantity and type of these items change, so ask about the possibilities.

+ Decorations/Cleaning

In an effort to protect the integrity of our exhibits, Amazement Square must approve all decorations prior to event set-up. Open flames, fog machines and pyrotechnics are not allowed inside the facilities due to our alarm systems. For Genworth Education Center use, lighting systems and special decorations are allowed pending approval. The museum is responsible for clean-up of the facility, however any cleanup that is beyond normal wear and tear to the facility will be charged directly to the group renting. It is the responsibility of your group to make arrangements for delivery and pickup of any special decorations or props on the evening of the event.

+ Audio Visual

The museum is equipped with a paging system. There are also additional rental options for sound and projection.

+ Catering

Amazement Square allows you to cater your own event or bring in your favorite caterer. If you are looking for a recommendation, a list of caterers can be provided upon request.

+ Marketing for your event

All written or printed communication that includes Amazement Square in text or graphic format must be approved by the museum prior to publication or distribution. Any requests for museum brochures or fliers can be made available.
