Welcome to our year of Now STREAMing! Streaming is not just for watching the latest shows and movies. STREAMing is also exploring the worlds of Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math in exciting new ways! Join us this year as we explore each discipline and how they all enrich and compliment one another while you journey through fun and immersive programs that spark creativity and foster curiosity. Look for the letters S.T.R.E.A.M. next to all of our programs to see what areas we are exploring!

January 1st - January 5th

Start with Art: Silver Slime (S, A)

Saturday, January 4th

Learn to make your very own liquid silver! Combining clear glue, liquid starch and metallic paint, the participants will create slime for them to explore tactile stimulation.

Open MakerSpace: Metal Stamp Necklaces (A)

Explore metal stamping and create your own custom necklace pendants.

Silver is an excellent conductor of electricity, making it useful in circuits and electronics. Test different household objects to determine if they are good conductors of electricity.

Participants will explore using toothpicks and tin foil to create luminaires that they can put a tea light in and use to light their way into the new year.

Open MakerSpace: Metal Wire Sculptures (A)

Use tools to shape and twist wire to create a unique sculpture.

Put your senses to the test! Feel different objects and take your best guess at what is inside while discovering how the brain uses visual memory to know objects without seeing them.

Using thin silver wire, participants will wrap and braid the lengths of wire and seed beads to create beautiful bracelets that you could find in jewelry stores.

Explore conductivity as you create circuits using metal tape, batteries, and light bulbs.

Pop-Up Program: Paper Airplanes (S, E, M)

Try your hand at making different paper airplanes. Practice folding different designs and test them to see which will fly the farthest.

Practice soldering while creating your own circuit board to take home.
