Rhyming Right at the Construction Site

Pre-K/K

Join us for some rhyming fun in our Once Upon a Building exhibit! Students will explore rhyming words and word families as they work in a rock quarry, construct buildings and act out construction vehicle rhymes.

Once Upon a Story (Gen-Ed)

3rd Grade

Join this exciting escape room adventure where students will solve puzzles and challenges based on The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs. Students will explore reading comprehension, sequencing, and perspective-taking in a fun, interactive environment!

Once Upon a Story (SpEd)

VESOL: R-3.1, R-3.2, R-3.4, R-3.5, R-3.7

Experience the joy of a classic children’s story with a new twist. Students will identify the main characters and setting of the story as they sequence events and bring the story to life while constructing scenes from the book. This program consists of 3 in-classroom/outreach sessions.

Talk Like a Robot

4th, 5th, 6th Grades

Explore robotics and engineering while programming your own robots to complete tasks and respond to their environment, just like Perseverance uses to complete its mission to Mars!

Additional Information

All school program visits require prior reservations and must be booked 4 weeks in advance.  A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due two weeks prior to program date.  Late bookings will be subject to a $25 service charge.

Amazement Square is available for school field trips Wednesday – Friday; special requests for weekend visits are assessed on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to additional fees.

+ Prices

Pricing varies depending on the type of and number of programs in which you choose to participate. You can learn more about the school programs we offer by choosing a category above.

+ Chaperones

One chaperone per five students is required and covered by the cost of the group booking. Chaperones exceeding the 1:5 ratio will be charged $10.00 per person. If the minimum 1:5 ratio is not met, a $25/hour fee will be added. Chaperones are required to stay with their students at all times and monitor their behavior. Please note that memberships, passes, coupons, and other discounts are not applicable for admission with any school program, including museum exploration.

+ Sponsored Admissions

Reduced admission prices are available for schools with a free and reduced lunch rate of 50% or greater. Scholarship funds for reduced admission are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.For questions about sponsored admission for schools and to find out if your classroom qualifies, please contact education@amazementsquare.org.

+ Lunch Room Rental

Although the museum does not sell lunch on site, students may bring their own bagged lunch to eat in one of the museum’s designated dining spaces. Indoor room rentals are $3 per student, with a minimum payment of $30. Lunch sessions are limited to 30 minutes each. Please be sure to schedule your lunch rental in advance as they are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. A $15 late fee will be charged if the room is requested on the day of your visit. The picnic area is also located on the side of the museum and can be reserved for groups for a $25 flat fee. To schedule a Lunch Room Rental, please contact education@amazementsquare.org.

By purchasing admission to Amazement Square and/or participating in any activities/programs/camps that are offered/facilitated by the museum, whether indoor or outdoor, you are assuming all liability. Amazement Square is a play at your own risk facility and you will hold the museum, its staff and its Board of Directors harmless should you or anyone in your party get hurt.
