2025 is on its way! Come celebrate with us as we kick off the new year with Now STREAMing! Streaming is not just for the latest movies and shows. Explore how Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math work together and are encompassed in the New Year's celebration with hands-on activities. Boogie on our dance floor after we ring in the New Year with a Bug Drop at the strike of noon. So come ring in the New Year the Amazement Square way!

Museum members at the Supporting Patron Level receive a $5 discount on the price of each adult ticket when you sign in with the email address associated with your account.

Now STREAMing Activities:

  • New Year’s by the Sky (Science): Take a look at navigating the night sky and explore how the stars and moon played a role in early calendars to mark the new year.

  • Light Show Coding (Technology): Discover how the Times Square ball is programmed to display a light show as it drops and code your own light patterns and displays.

  • Resolutions and Reflections (Reading): Make your own origami fortune teller to play a game with your family and friends reflecting on the past year and looking to the new one.

  • Don’t Let the Ball Drop (Engineering): Design a structure to hold the New Year’s ball and keep it from dropping too soon!

  • Fireworks Art (Art): Create your own process art piece inspired by colorful fireworks.

  • How Do We Tell Time? (Math): Explore the history of telling time and make your own paper sundials.

Countdown to Noon:

New Year’s at Noon is a family event. Registered children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Registered adults can only attend if accompanying registered children.
